In the End

To encourage people to read it, I have added it to a nice, pretty background (one of my own photos from September 2012) - I know poetry isn't all that popular in dA.

Well, as you can probably tell, the poem is about the life cycle of a star and is told from the stars perspective, looking back over its life. I was really struggling for ideas on what to write a poem on seeing as I had to submit this one to the class to be critiqued, so I turned to science for inspiration. Several of my 8 poems ended up being inspired by some aspect of science in the end. I like trying to mix poetry with science. It's an interesting task, trying to express the wonder of science through poetry, because let's face it, if you're throwing a dinner party, you're unlikely to be sitting the two next to each other.
